Bryce Country Cabins in Tropic, Utah

Cabin View

When I decided to take a break and drive through a stretch of southern Utah, I looked for someplace to stay that was reasonably priced and that would comfortably accommodate our family.  The cabins in Tropic fit the bill nicely.  Fall is a popular time for this area, so we were glad to have reservations.

Cabin Interior

We stayed in a cabin with 2 beds to accommodate our group.  These cabins seem new and, while small, are nicely kept.  There are amenities like a barbecue grill and small front porch outside.  In the evening, we strolled down to a grassy area with benches and looked at the stars.  It is sad that now we have to take our kids outside of the Salt Lake Valley in order for them to see the Milky Way.  We took our time stargazing.

Vanity area

The vanity area is outside of the bathroom (toilet and shower) in these cabins.  The staff was friendly, the cabins were inviting, and this was a great place to start our trip.  We did have an air conditioner start making weird noises in the wee hours of the morning, but we reported it the next day, so it should be fixed if you decide to stay here!

View from our cabin

The Tropic cemetery was across the street, as were some beautiful views.  There are some places to eat in town.  We chose to eat breakfast out of our cooler, and had pastries, fruit, and yogurt to start the day.

Scenery around Tropic

If you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay in the Bryce Canyon area, consider the Bryce Country Cabins.  I would stay there again!  We checked out by dropping our key in the lockbox outside the office and hit the road.
